Lead Vocals: JOHNNY DEAVILLE
John has been in the music industry since the age of 16. He has been part of the 60’s scene for well over 40 years working with people such as Tony Hatch, Gene Pitney, and 10cc to name but a few. He discovered “Jesamine” written by Marty Wilde, which became a hit for The Casuals in 1968. John later had chart success as a member of the band Boulevard with the song Miss Belinda, written by Des Parton which was released on the PYE record label. John actively pursues his long standing career as a solo artist when he is not performing with The new Casuals. He formed The new Casuals after searching high and low for the “right blend” of talent to provide a fitting tribute to “The Casuals” of the 60’s.
Guitar and Vocals: STEVE LEESE
Steve has over 40 years experience of playing in and alongside numerous bands such as Hedge Hoppers Anonymous, The Merseybeats, The Dakotas, The Dreamers and many more. Steve is a dedicated and reliable member of The new Casuals who is most happy when performing live.
Keyboards and Vocals: TONY KEYS
Tony started his musical career by “jamming” on guitar with Status Quo at their rehearsals in the late 60’s and he realised he had a place in the music world, not on guitar but as a keyboard player. Several bands later and after a short time with chart topping band Vanity Fair, Tony ventured in to the world of solo artist and session musician. He resided in Spain for over 28 years, where he started a commercial radio station “Central FM” which is still broadcasting today. After returning to the UK he soon found the need to be part of a band again and it wasn’t long before he was introduced to “The new Casuals”, at last a band that he could feel at home with, adding the keyboard ingredient that gives the band that unique blend of modern and authentic overtones, resulting in one of the most professional sounding touring bands on the circuit today.
Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals: GEOFF BARLOW
Geoff is a well seasoned bass player with over 30 years experience as a session musician. He has been highly sought after through the years by a long list of bands for both live performances and recording sessions. Geoff has the knack of adding that “authentic 60’s vibe” to every track he plays on.
Drums and Backing Vocals: JOHN WARRINGTON
John has been drumming since leaving school in the 70’s firstly in bands playing original material and later moving on to a variety of tribute bands covering the music of artists such as Alice Cooper, Aerosmith and Bryan Adams. John has also performed in many function bands playing various styles including blues, soul and modern pop classics. He has always been in demand due to his versatility and knowledge of all styles of music , he can even be caught performing a bit of Jazz now and again. Lately John has been performing on the 60’s circuit and is now the newest member of The new Casuals. John comments that “it is great to be asked to join a group of talented musicians who have such a wealth of experience.
